During this skills-based, experiental workshop participants examine the art and technique of facilitating adult learning in a classroom environment. The art of facilitation comes from an understanding of adult learning principles; the role of the facilitator in the classroom; participant behavior and appropriate facilitator response; group dynamics, conflict, sensitive topics. The techniques on facilitation of learning include questioning and debriefing of learning activities.
Trainers and subject matter experts are often called upon to develop and deliver effective training programs that can contribute to improving individual performance and organizational effectiveness. In this three-day interactive and experiential workshop participants create a working learning environment and share experiences on creating a positive learning experience. Participants will have hands on experience with using facilitation techniques, providing feedback and will take away some tips and tools for dealing with individual behavior and group dynamics in the classroom. All participants will deliver classroom learning activities and receive group feedback as well as individual feedback from the facilitators/instructors.
