Date: August 24, 2009 - September 7, 2009 - 2 hour classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings

Time:  10:00 am - 12:00 noon

Where:  UPEI Music Department, Steel Building, Room 215

Purpose:  To assist students who need to improve their music theory skills in preparation to take the Preliminary Music Theory Test at the end of the summer.

Cost: $149

Benefits:

• While there are no guarantees, students who successfully complete the Music Theory Boot Camp will be better assured of success in the Preliminary Music Theory Test at the end of the summer.
• Students who successfully complete the Preliminary Music Theory Test will enter the first year music theory courses without restriction.
• Students who do not achieve a passing grade in the Preliminary Music Theory Test at the end of the summer will be required to take a non-credit tutorial course during the 2009-2010 academic year, at a cost of $492 - a much higher cost than the Boot Camp.
• Students who do not achieve a passing grade in the Preliminary Music Theory Test will be permitted to take Music 113, 114, 115 and 116, however, must take the non-credit tutorial course concurrently.
