You come to UPEI as a mature student for many reasons:
There are many ways to learn at UPEI. Taking a full degree or certificate probably comes to mind first—but that is just one option. Professional development courses of one to three days in length are very helpful when dealing with a challenge you may be having at work; in this situation you don't have time to take a lengthy route to a degree or certificate. If returning to school feels a little scary, you might try taking a course or two to see how well you do. If your main motivation is to learn for interest or recreation, there are many opportunities to feed your mind and soul, including credit courses and short courses—with fees attached—or lectures, readings by visiting authors, and music recitals—often free and promoted here on the UPEI website.
