Description

In today’s dynamic, global economy it is essential for both public and private organizations to be able to respond to changes in internal and external demand, political environments, and resource constraints. This requires an organization that fosters a culture of learning and change. This two-day module will help participants to better understand the changing nature of our workplaces, the complexities of change, and how to effectively lead change.

Topics will include the catalysts for change, employee readiness for change, various change strategies, overcoming resistance to change, cross-cultural perspectives on change and creating a learning organization with the capacity for continuous change.

During the workshop, in addition to addressing the above questions, you will also:
develop a ‘toolkit’ for change that can be taken back to your workplaces and used to help navigate through both incremental and radical changes.

Outcomes of this workshop are inclusive of the following:

  • an understanding of the changing public sector environment
  • tools for assessing employee readiness for change
  • an understanding of what it takes to be an affective change agent
  • various tools for managing change initiatives
  • tools for preventing and overcoming resistance to change

(*The workshop will be tailored to address participants’ needs and outcomes may change accordingly.)
